SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) — Authorities say two Southwest Airlines flights with ties to Phoenix and Orange County’s John Wayne Airport were grounded following a threatening phone call.

Both planes were cleared Tuesday night.

Southwest spokeswoman Ashley Dillon says the threat was made while Flight 1184 was en route from Orange County. The plane was taken to an isolation pad after it landed in Phoenix.

Orange County sheriff’s Lt. Joe Balicki tells the Orange County Register (http://bit.ly/KE4Jm8) that another plane was held in isolation at John Wayne Airport.

Balicki says the plane had been scheduled to go to Phoenix.
